Brad Vander Ark

Bradley Allen Vander Ark (1969-1999, 1999- ?) (A.K.A. The Braddazler, B-Dazz, B-Dizzle, Bradical) was born in Kalamazoo, MI, a 5th child of 5. His education was irregular, due to his dislike of any organized training. After toiling in the world of corporate rock as a bass player with The Verve Pipe for 10 years, he moved to New York City (1999), where he established himself as a graphic design artist and critically-acclaimed independent musician.

Proof can be found in this comparison of reviews:
THE VERVE PIPE Villains (RCA, 1996) “One could call this debut’s merging of power chords and soul-baring wordplay an earnest attempt to bridge the indie-alt/classic rock divide – classic grunge, if you will. Or more succinctly, Pearl Jam Lite. Perhaps the work of the poor man’s Live. Or maybe it’s just a bloated, cringe-inducing bore.”
-Entertainment Weekly

BABY Baby (Nerveland, 2004) “Arguably the most physically attractive band in Manhattan, the members of the glam-dance-bubblegum outfit BABY know how to arouse an audience… Every song makes you want to shake your ass.”
-The Village Voice

Brad is currently the world’s preeminent leader in the PopComElectroCompRock genre, a category he created, and of which he is the only member.
